Dan Dubick B.S.
Director of Special Populations
Dan Dubick is a graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received his bachelor’s degree in Movement Sciences, with a concentration in Exercise Fitness. Dubick has been involved in athletics from a young age, playing three sports a year. He enjoys many other physical activities such as biking, weightlifting and hiking. He believes staying active and having good nutrition is vital to living a happy and healthy life. Dubick started working right out of college as a Speed and Strength Coach with Velocity Sports Performance and has been with them for two years. Dubick is currently Director of Training at Right Fit Sports Fitness Wellness.
Since working for Right Fit, Dan has assisted in creating health and fitness fieldtrips for local organizations such as Giant Steps, SEASPAR, SASED, Hanson Center and CLC Groups. Dubick has always been passionate about exercise and fitness and realized how it is lacking in the special needs community. Through Right Fit, he plans to educate schools and other organizations about the importance of fitness for all populations. Dubick has spoken at the Anne M. Jeans School in Willowbrook, St. Joe’s High School, Hinsdale South High School and the I.A.H.E.P.E.R.D and A.A.H.E.P.E.R.D Convention in Illinois and Florida in an effort to spread the word about how simple and inexpensive fitness can be.
As the Director of Fitness for Right Fit, Dubick has been in integral part in creating fitness programs such as “Do These Five, Stay Alive” and the “right Fit Eleven,” which was given Right Fit national recognition. Along with program development, group and private training, Dubick heads up the off-site training at local high schools, Argonne National Laboratory and at Charlie’s Gift Foundation – support for children and families facing autism. The latest off-site success was a summer camp for youth with autism which was held at the Community House.
Dubick also believes in giving back to the community by being a part of the Right Fit 5K Committee which benefits service dog foundations for those with special needs. He contributed to the “Power to Conquer Autism” benefit in support of Giant Steps School for Autism. Along with assisting in charitable events, Dubick has also volunteered as a basketball and football coach for local suburban camps.
