Meghan Kennihan is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has 10 years of experience as a fitness instructor teaching spin (indoor cycling), Strong (weight-lifting aerobics), and group exercise. She completed an intensive Personal Training program at DePaul University to increase her knowledge and education.
Kennihan is also an experienced runner competing and placing 5Ks, 10Ks, half-marathons, marathons, and triathlons. She recently won the Inaugural Illinois Marathon and qualified for an elite start at the Boston Marathon. Kennihan is a certified USA Track & Field Level 1 Coach and a RRCA (Road Runners Club of America) Certified Distance Coach. She trains clients for a wide variety fitness goals including: weight-loss, strength building, general health, and races.
Kennihan is passionate about helping others to enjoy fitness and exercise as much as she does. She strives to personalize all training plans and workouts to each individual client to bring out their very best.
Kennihan was born and raised in LaGrange (suburb southwest of Chicago) where she currently resides. She teaches fitness classes and personal trains at Elite Fitness & Gym in Western Springs and Well-Fit Triathlon & Training in the city. She also trains/coaches athletes for various races from 5K to the marathon to triathlons.
